Our Dyno Facility
Ø State of the art computerized Snowmobile engine/ chassis dyno testing facility centrally located in upstate NY.
Ø Brand new facility with computerized dynamometer which utilizes the most advanced software available in the marketplace today.
Ø Utilizes a custom designed computerized cooling system that allows you to maintain a constant water temperature enabling ultimate accuracy and repetitive dyno runs. Engine coolant temperature is controlled to +/- two degrees F, critical for consistent repeatability.
Ø Has a custom drive shaft system that connects to the snowmobile engine crankshaft for all makes and models.
Why Use a Dyno?
Have you ever wondered how much horse power your snowmobile really has? How does your horsepower compare to the manufacturers' claims? How does it compare to other sleds? The only method to truly answer these questions is with the use of a snowmobile dynometer. A dyno is the ONLY way to quantitatively determine how much horsepower your snowmobile really produces. As with any vehicle, there are power-robbing losses that affect how much engine-horsepower ultimately is produced. Using the Snowmobile Dyno, it can quickly and accurately provide you with a computer graphical analysis of your snowmobile's performance. From this data , we can highlight and pinpoint power-robbing deficiencies in your motor, and suggest alternative methods to improve and maximize your snowmobile's available horsepower.
Use a Dyno to measure Stock Vs. Modified HP
The Dyno also enables you to obtain actual numerical data of a stock (or any current) setup vs. a modified setup on your snowmobile. Bring your aftermarket components such as V-Force Reeds, Twin or Triple Pipes, etc., and in one dyno session, it will provide horse power and torque curves showing your sled in an as-stock condition, then incrementally adding each of your performance parts. You will see first-hand data that shows how much power your snowmobile made BEFORE AND AFTER you added the performance parts. No more guessing about whether a performance part lived up to its advertisements, or if those performance parts are adding as much power as you think they are; the Dyno will tell you accurately how much horsepower your snowmobile produces. Attempting to gauge performance improvements against a friend out in the field is futile, as uncontrollable variables too often cause inaccurate and misleading results. No-one can argue with the factual information obtained from a Dyno. The data you receive is real, is accurate, and is repeatable.
